Add smart sensors to your new Challenger
Do you have your eye on a Challenger? Then you can look forward to lots of camping fun! Good news: from 2024, you can choose to add a SMART Pack for €990 during the configuration process. This will give you the option to add smart sensors and read them from the E-Trailer app. on your smartphone. If you have chosen the SMART Pack, a Starter Pack Plus and a water level sensor for the fresh water tank will be factory-fitted in your motorhome, saving you a lot of installation costs! The SMART Pack contains the following sensors: E-Level (digital spirit level), E-Volt (battery status), E-Track&Trace (GPS tracker) including a 1-year subscription to the eSIM, E-Waterlevel (water tank level) and E-Gaslevel (gas cylinder level). Included in the SMART Pack:
- E-Level (digital spirit level): to see if your motor home is level and what you need to do to each wheel to park it level.
- E-Volt (voltage meter): to monitor the battery status
- E-Track&Trace (GPS tracker) so you always know where your camper is. This is useful in case of theft. Your SMART Pack includes a 1-year subscription to the eSIM. This allows you to read the smart sensors via Bluetooth or the internet.
- E-Waterlevel (water tank level): so you always know how full your fresh water tank is.
- E-Gaslevel (gas bottle level): so you are never caught by surprise with an empty gas bottle. If your gas bottle is running empty, you will receive a warning on your smartphone.
You can easily read the sensors from the free E-Trailer app. You can also add or expand your system at any time. Order the sensors from your dealer or in the E-Trailer webshop. By scanning the supplied QR code of a sensor from the E-Trailer app, you can link it to your Starter Pack Plus. If you have taken out a subscription for the eSIM, you can also read out your sensors from a great distance. It is also possible to expand your system with E-Trailer security sensors.
Expansion possibilities:
E-Movement (motion sensor): Warns you if unwanted guests enter your motor home. Thieves obviously need to break in before they can drive off with your valuable possessions. That is why E-Movement complements E-Track&Trace to prevent theft. You mount E-Movement on the wall or ceiling and can add up to five sensors to get the right coverage.
E-Switch (burglar alarm): Get a warning if a window or door opens while you are sleeping. This also prevents damage by warning you in the E-Trailer app when a window or roof hatch is still open when you leave.
E-Pressure (tyre pressure sensors): These handy sensors allow you to monitor tyre pressure while driving. The temperature of each tyre is also displayed on your smartphone. You will receive a warning in dangerous situations, such as when descending a mountain pass.
E-Temperature (temperature and humidity sensor): A handy addition. By detecting temperature deviations, you will know if the coupling is working properly, if your water tank is at risk of freezing and if your pet is comfortable. In short, an indispensable sensor!
Tip: Think about the different places where you want to place a temperature sensor, such as in the refrigerator, near the water tank or in the bathroom to prevent mould. The temperature sensor also measures the humidity!
E-Gaslevel (gas cylinder level): Why not have a gas level sensor on every gas cylinder? The gas cylinder sensor is attached to the bottom of a steel gas cylinder with a magnet and uses ultrasound technology to measure the gas level and display it in the E-Trailer app.
Note: This sensor does not work on plastic gas bottles. You will need an adapter for aluminium gas bottles.
Tip: You can add up to five gas level sensors. This is especially handy if you like to camp in the winter!
