The Starter Package Plus connects via Bluetooth and the internet. For an internet connection, you need to activate the eSIM in your Starter Package Plus by taking out a subscription. It is not possible to take out a subscription for the Starter Package Basic. You can take out a subscription in the E-Trailer app once your Starter Package Plus has been installed.
With a subscription, you activate the built-in SIM card of your Starter Package Plus and have the option of reading the linked E-Trailer sensors remotely. A subscription is required if you want to add security sensors.
The subscription activates E-Track&Trace (GPS tracker built into your Starter Package Plus). In addition, E-Movement (motion sensor) can only be connected via the internet and E-Switch works as an intrusion alarm in combination with a Starter Package Plus if you have an E-Trailer subscription.
With the E-Trailer subscription, you can remotely read all sensors that are connected both via Bluetooth and the internet. These include E-Pressure (tyre pressure), E-Gaslevel (gas bottle level) and E-Waterlevel (water tank level). This is useful if you want to prepare your journey from the comfort of your armchair while your motorhome or caravan is still in storage. With E-Temperature you can check whether the temperature in your camping vehicle is still comfortable while you enjoy your camping destination.
You take out an E-Trailer subscription for a duration of 1, 3 or 5 years. For a 5-year subscription, you pay €70 per year.
