The E-Trailer Linked Network System Integrates Supplier Devices

Rijswijk, 26 August 2025 – At the Caravan Salon 2025, E-Trailer will present the Linked Network system, a new solution that for the first time fully integrates supplier devices into the Smart Caravanning system. This enables caravans and motorhomes to be connected with smartphones even more easily and intelligently. The core of the Linked Network system is the Starter Package Advanced. With this package, users can not only read data from E-Trailer sensors but also switch and control devices, all via the same app.

The E-Trailer Linked Network system is a solution for manufacturers who want to equip their caravans and motorhomes directly from the factory with a complete Smart Caravanning solution, which also controls supplier devices such as heating, air conditioning, or refrigerators with a single smartphone app. Current E-Trailer solutions are already factory-installed in 20 caravan and motorhome brands. With the new Linked Network system, E-Trailer aims to further expand its business customer base.

The E-Trailer Linked Network system is not aimed at end users but exclusively at caravan and motorhome manufacturers. Integrating the various devices of a leisure vehicle into a Smart Caravanning solution requires seamless connection of the control systems of these devices via a CI-BUS system. This requires close coordination during vehicle development between E-Trailer, the vehicle manufacturer, and the equipment supplier. The result is that manufacturers can already provide their customers with an integrated solution for seamless smartphone control of the leisure vehicle straight from the factory.

Thanks to the Starter Package Advanced in the Linked Network system, it is now possible not only to read sensor data on the smartphone but also to control devices within the same app. For example, if the E-Temperature module reports a too high or too low temperature inside, the user can switch on the air conditioning or turn up the heating in the same app.

With the new Starter Package Advanced of the Linked Network system, E-Trailer now offers four Starter Packages:

• Two designed for retrofitting by end users: the Starter Package Basic for short-range control and the Starter Package Plus for remote access.
• Two designed for vehicle manufacturers for installation in new vehicles at the factory: the Starter Package CI-BUS and the Linked Network system with the Starter Package Advanced.

Already, 20 well-known brands from the European caravan and motorhome industry use E-Trailer Smart Caravanning solutions in their new vehicles. With the Linked Network system, E-Trailer aims to expand this customer base and broaden the scope of its Smart Caravanning solutions.
