E-Trailer expands its Linked Network with the E-Touch control panel

All devices in the camping vehicle can now be controlled via a smartphone app and the in-vehicle touchscreen

28 August 2026, Rijswijk/Düsseldorf – E-Trailer’s Linked Network is a solution for vehicle manufacturers wishing to equip their caravans and motorhomes with a comprehensive smart caravanning solution as standard. The Linked Network also integrates devices from suppliers, such as heating, air conditioning and fridges. At the CARAVAN SALON 2026, E-Trailer is now showcasing its latest addition to the Linked Network for the first time in Hall 13, Stand C 21: E-Touch. The touch-sensitive control panel serves as a central control unit in the recreational vehicle, complementing the app-based control system. In future, the owner of the campervan will be able to control all devices in the Linked Network both via the app on their smartphone and via E-Touch inside the vehicle itself.

E-Trailer is presenting E-Touch in two versions: a 7-inch control panel as a central control unit for managing all devices in the campervan, and a compact 4-inch control panel, which can be positioned throughout the vehicle to control individual devices. For example, the 7-inch E-Touch can be installed next to the entrance to the campervan to act as the central control unit for all devices. Near the bed and the seating area, on the other hand, several 4-inch E-Touch control panels can be used to control individual components such as lighting, heating or air conditioning. At the same time, the owner can also remotely control the entire system via their smartphone from outside the campervan.

“By adding the E-Touch to our product portfolio, we are bringing the most comprehensive smart caravanning solution to date onto the market,” says Rick Lenssen, co-founder and technical director of E-Trailer. “We’ve always had a smartphone app where you can view all our products and, since last year, control many of them as well. However, many customers said that whilst it’s nice to use a smartphone, they sometimes want to interact with the system directly inside the vehicle. With the new E-Touch control panels, this is now possible.”

The number and type of E-Touch control panels installed in a campervan, and how they are configured, is a fully modular and customisable process. Recreational vehicle manufacturers can work with the E-Trailer team to specify exactly how these new control panels should be positioned within the vehicle and which functions they should perform. Just as with the “Linked Network”, the E-Touch panels can be adapted to the needs of each manufacturer, whether in terms of colour scheme, brand design or the icons and modules used.

Test customers wanted

In the medium term, E-Trailer also aims to launch its Linked Network as a retrofit solution for end users. To this end, E-Trailer is looking for test customers at the CARAVAN SALON 2026 who are willing to have such a system fitted directly into their vehicle by E-Trailer and to share their user experiences with the E-Trailer development team.
